Coming Home Through Yoga

Restorative yoga posture with cushions supporting deep relaxation

I’ve been practicing yoga on and off since I was 20 — over a decade now eek — but I’d say I’ve truly experienced yoga for the past five years.

When I first began, it was simply to improve my flexibility for dance. Back then, I wasn’t connecting to my mind or to the deeper experience of yoga; I was just trying to get deeper into my splits. I dabbled, I tried, but I never quite understood the hype. Looking back, I can see I was deeply traumatised, moving through life in a dysregulated, dissociated state — constantly pushing, striving, and chasing “better.” Naturally, that energy spilled into my practice too.

Years later, yoga found me again — this time during a period of complete mental collapse (read more in my About Me section). I was privileged to access Yoga Therapy in a beautiful clinic in London, and from that moment, everything changed. It deepened my practice in ways I could never have imagined — connecting heart and body, allowing me to feel and process emotions for the first time in my life. Yoga became a lifeline, a sacred part of my trauma healing journey, and I’ve witnessed its quiet, profound power to heal in so many others, too.

Because of this, I hold a deep reverence for the practice and all it represents. My intention is to help others find their own spark of connection — to themselves, to their breath, to the wider universe that holds us all.

Every class I lead fills something in my heart that words can’t quite touch. To witness someone come home to themselves, whether for the first or thousandth time, is what keeps me showing up, again and again.

What My Classes Feel Like

My classes are an invitation to integrate — to weave the mind and body back together through movement, breath, and presence. I teach with warmth, friendliness, and compassion, creating spaces where you can meet yourself just as you are, without judgement or pressure to perform.

Drawing on my background as a dancer, I craft each class like a gentle story — with a beginning, middle, and end — a rhythm that carries you through flow, stillness, and release. Guided by a deep understanding of the nervous system, I meet the energy in the room as it is — whether restless, anxious, or tired — and shape the practice to help you move toward steadiness and ease.

In my Hatha classes, we build a contained space to explore asana, pranayama, and meditation, cultivating balance and awareness through movement and breath. My Restorative classes offer intuitive, soothing flows and long-held, comforting postures — an invitation to rest deeply and feel at home in your body.

Note: Don’t just take my word for it! Testimonials are in a section below. FAQs are also below, but you’re also more than welcome to message me.

All Studio Classes are at Trika Yoga, North Street, Bedminster

Private Yoga Classes

I’m so grateful to offer 60-minute private yoga sessions — crafted with care to meet you exactly where you are. Each session is designed around your individual needs or intentions, whether that’s easing anxiety, finding rest, reconnecting with your body, or simply creating space to breathe.

All accredited yoga teachers, myself included, are trained in anatomy, yogic philosophy, alignment, asana and pranayama. Beyond this foundation, my path has led me into deeper studies of trauma-informed practice, mental health, and psychotherapy — learning how the nervous system, body, and mind weave together in healing. If this is what you need from your yoga practice, then I’d love to help.

Drawing from my trauma-informed Hatha and Restorative training with Bristol School of Yoga, Yoga therapy skills for anxiety, and my extensive and ever growing counselling and mental health training, I carefully hold space with compassion, non-judgement, presence, and respect.

I welcome you to show up however you feel, whether tired or restless, weighed down or messy. Together, we’ll use gentle movement, breath, and awareness to help you feel more integrated and at ease within yourself.

Important: It’s important to note that while my approach is informed by yoga for mental health principles, I am not a yoga therapist, and these sessions are educational and supportive rather than clinical. You can read more about this distinction in the FAQs below.
